Fishing at Shadow Lake

Cedar Creek is home to a sixty-acre lake. Shadow Lake is home to a variety of fish species, including largemouth bass, channel catfish, bluegill, and crappie. In the past, it’s also been stocked with walleye, tiger muskellunge, and wipers. While recent electrofishing hasn’t turned up walleye, wipers, or tiger muskies, we know large channel catfish are still lurking beneath the surface—and some lucky anglers have caught large flathead catfish!

The lake also supports a strong population of green sunfish. In 2025, artificial structures were added throughout the lake to improve fishing.

Other Local Ponds & Waterways

  • Hidden Glen Park Pond: Stocked with largemouth bass (transplanted from Shadow Lake) and bluegill.

  • Clubhouse Pond: An unnamed pond behind the clubhouse contains largemouth bass and bluegill. We have stocked it with large bluegill and green sunfish in the hope of making it a fun fishing spot for kids.

  • Hidden Lake: Believed to contain bass and sunfish, this water has not yet been turned over to Parks and Lakes for evaluation.

  • Southglen Pond: Home to largemouth bass, bluegill, and green sunfish. Never stocked, but supports a thriving turtle population, making it a great spot for young reptile enthusiasts.
